Recipe Steps
  1. Soak Moong Dal in water for about 6-7 hours.
  2. Boil the Potatoes and mash them and keep it aside in a bowl.
  3. Heat 3 tbsp oil in Kadhai. Add cumin seeds (use half of cumin seeds), mustard seeds in oil.
  4. Now add chopped Onions and saute it till its colour changes to translucent pink. Now add chopped green chilli and green peas in kadhai. Mix Well.
  5. Add Boiled mashed Potato, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and Salt in kadhai.
  6. Mix Well. Do a lot of Bhuno or cook the whole mixture. Lastly add chopped Coriander Leaves and mix it well with the mixture.
  7. Stuffing Masala is ready for moong dal Dosa.Keep it aside.
  8. Grind the soaked Moong dal into fine paste. Now add cumin seeds (another half of cumin seeds), red chilli powder and salt. Mix Well.Dosa Batter is ready.
  9. Heat the Non Stick Tawa and brush oil on it. Cut Onion in half and insert a knife in it. Pour half onion in an oil containing bowl and apply oil on tawa with the help of this Onion. This Onion method does not allow dosa batter(any types of Dosa) to get stick on Tawa(any kind of Tawa)
  10. With the help of ladle , pour moong Dal Dosa Batter on tawa and spread it on tawa .
  11. Add drops of oil around the edges of the Dosa with the help of Spoon. Cook for 4-5 Minutes, this time limit is for first Dosa, after that when tawa becomes hot then dosa cooks faster subsequently.
  12. Add the stuffing mixture in between the dosa. Do not flip the dosa. Dosa is cooked super crispy from one side and soft from the other side.
  13. Serve Hot Moong Dal Dosa with coconut chutney or Green Chutney.
